Legislative regulation of SMS marketing in Finland
SMS mailings in Finland are regulated in the same way as any other marketing communications. The main requirements are reflected in the Laws of Finland "On Advertising", "On the Protection of Personal Data", "On Electronic Communications", "On the Protection of Consumer Rights" and the Policy for the Protection and Processing of Personal Data determined by the company.

Law of Finland"On the protection of personal data"
The law defines the rules for collecting, processing, storing, changing, distributing, using and destroying personal data of clients. Among such information: full name, residential address, copyright series and number, date of birth, contact phone number of an individual. According to the law, the subject must give permission for the processing and use of their personal data in SMS/MMS mailings in writing.
